Just got the book, read it through, and loved it! Especially the dragon strips, though grayscale didn't do as much justice on this book as it did the prequels, But I did enjoy greenhilt: prince of Denmark, it is a great reading to take your mind off the serious drama within real life, between session endings, and even within the OOTS saga itself! I'll definitely reread this book! |

Just received my Snips, Snails, and Dragon Tales (which has a D on the spine instead of a number- I'm not sure why- maybe for "Dragon"?), and it's a great little package. The fairy tales/Shakespeare parodies are fabulous, and the story of Julio Scoundrel is (though a bit disturbing and R-rated in place) a very exciting variant on Burlew's style. The Dragon pieces are funny and (in the end) touching, and there are other extras, of course. My only criticism is that the b&w printing, which didn't bother me in the other "non web strip" books, really hampers the art in some parts here: in the 4th ed vs 3.5 ed OOTS saga especially, and (worst of all) in "Greenhilt, Prince of Denmark," where the background characters are mostly obscured by a washing-out of their tones. I know it adds greatly to the expense, but I think a lot of clarity was lost when those sections went grey-scale. At least the Dragon strips are full-colour:) Other than that, a wonderful little rarity for any OOTS collector you know! |

Just arrived today, just finished today. The 3.5 vs. 4.0 battle just makes me damned proud to be playing...well..Pathfinder, but that's OK too! Great book, well worth ordering. |
